Privacy Policy for Baby Sips

Version: 1.1

Effective Date: 9 October 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Baby Sips. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy describes:

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Baby Sips stores the feeding, liquid and medication records you enter locally on your device. Its tracking features can work offline. Release versions also use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, which send technical telemetry off your device when a connection is available. This can include app interactions and sessions, approximate location derived from your IP address, app-instance and device identifiers (including the Android advertising identifier where available), app and operating-system versions, device information, crash reports, error messages and stack traces. Analytics events record actions such as opening the app or adding, updating or deleting an entry; the app does not attach the contents of your records to these analytics events.

3. Use of Information

We use Firebase telemetry to understand how the app is used, diagnose errors and improve its functionality and reliability. App-instance and device identifiers can distinguish installations, so this telemetry should not be treated as anonymous. Privacy and data-protection rights may apply to this information.

4. Disclosure of Information

Technical telemetry is sent to Google through Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to provide analytics and crash-reporting services. Google may use subprocessors to provide these services. Baby Sips does not upload your local record database as part of its analytics events. For information about Google's processing, see https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Data Security

Firebase telemetry is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Local records rely on your device's security and any operating-system backup settings. You can delete records in the app; uninstalling removes local app data, subject to your device's backup and restore behaviour. Uninstalling does not automatically delete telemetry already sent to Firebase. Contact [email protected] to ask about access, correction or deletion of information, or to raise a privacy concern.

6. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and in compliance with the requirements of the GDPR. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

7. Contact Information
